Description: Dude sustained a knee injury and has had over a year to heal. Dude went into professional training in the Spring of 2023 and was cleared for all disciplines except jumping.
His knee, however, did not hold up and swelled. We withdrew him from training and returned him to the Sanctuary. Vets examined & rescanned knee finding significant arthritis & swelling.
We will keep him at the Sanctuary, turned out in pasture, for the time being. He will receive chiropractic & joint supplements & we’ll determine at some point whether he’ll just remain a pasture puff or be able to do some light work.
We will only consider adoption to someone who understands Dude’s limitations.
