We are thrilled to head into 2027, which marks two decades of incredible memories and milestones together! Neigh Savers has changed so much since the inception and we are thrilled to have been able to make the Sanctuary happen thanks to you!
For Giving Tuesday 2026, we would be very grateful if you would consider Neigh Savers when you make your donations. 2026 has been an interesting year with increasing costs all around, making a good retirement for horses even more expensive to maintain. Over the last few years with your generous donations we have been able to stabilize the herd or horses we care for and accepted many new horses to care for. We have updated lots of fencing, cleaned up much of the property, fixed up the arena, built a new mare motel, worked on the main house, made the hay barn much more functional and safe and so much more. Thank you so much for your generous support over these last few years. We could not have done it without you!
1. Winter Alfalfa – we need to stock our winter alfalfa to support the weight of our aging seniors. Prices for both alfalfa and the diesel to get the alfalfa to us have continued to increase making this a bigger budget item this year.
2. Additional Shavings and Grain for Mare Motel. We are planning on LOTS of rain with the El Nino forecast and expect to have to bring in our more fragile/older population into the barn for much of the winter. This will require more shavings and grain that we typically need.
We have another excellent opportunity to maximize fund raising this year with a Triple Match! You can Triple your donation impact this year thanks to generous matching gifts. Every dollar you give this Giving Tuesday goes three times as far – turning your $50 into $150 or your $100 into $300! We can achieve our fund raising goals to cover our winter needs with just 5K in donations from our supporters this year! That’s a huge bonus. Huge thanks to our donation matchers this year!
