Tamara (ON) – Broodmare, foaled 2000 (Roy – Ascot Affair, by Ascot Knight)
Tamara has a kindness and gentle demeanor that once you meet her, you will never forget. She was shut down when we went to rescue her. Her head slung low and her eyes tired. Tamara had given up. She didn’t look for food for she knew none was to be had. We caught her that fateful night, put on a halter, and loaded her onto the trailer. She was a perfect lady.
Fast forward 7 weeks. After receiving veterinary care and careful feeding, Tamara blossomed into the gorgeous chestnut mare that she is. After serving her time as a broodmare, our friends over at Tracy Acres offered her the forever home that she deserves. Just look at the pictures of her in pasture. She has found green grass pastures and many friends to enjoy the rest of her days with.
