Description: Lucky was found as a former discarded broodmare. She is green broke and super mellow under saddle. She would be wonderful as a light riding pleasure horse (She is worked 40 min. 3x/wk .and she is just fine with that), is enthusiastic about Liberty work (will follow you anywhere ), also would be a great caretaker for another equine in need. Although she hasn’t been trail ridden, she would likely love the great outdoors and exploring.
Lucky is an in your pocket girl! She adores people of all sizes and would love some more space. Sadly, this is why she needs to be rehomed. She will pace if in a stall or stall with run. Right now, she is allowed to roam freely on the property and has respected this freedom.
She has an old track injury on her right front that will cause some stiffness but, it doesn’t hold her back and she is quite happy to move forward. She has no bad vices. Even with her a little post racing career stiffness she is full of youthful energy! A yearly maintenance injection would be of great benefit and a pre purchase vet check is welcome.

Update March 2017: Lucky hit the jackpot with her new owner Tucker. Lucky really took to Tucker and likewise and she hopped right on the trailer without hesitation. At Chanslor Ranch, a 378 acre ocean view horse ranch in Bodega Bay, Lucky will be able to roam freely when not going on trail rides. And, to sweeten the pot Tucker generously donated a Group Trail Ride for our December 2nd Turf Club Party for our Silent Auction.
