Update Sept 2023: Coffeeonsunsetbay (Sunny) went into foster care earlier this year. Some may recall Sunny was remote, aloof, scared and suspicious. No one could even halter him. Our long time friend and former adopter Karen M took a chance and decided to take him into foster care to see if she could turn him around.

Karen did more than turn Sunny around. Sunny positively blossomed under her care and a few weeks ago Karen decided to permanently adopt him. Karen has had more than her share of challenges and loss this year and Sunny was right there with all of them almost sensing that she needed him. I really don’t have to say much more…all you need to do is to look at the attached photos.

“Sunny sunshine is my miracle baby. He did come at the right time. He is as loyal as a dog. And that’s special. Such a partner. So willing and eager to please and still looks for a sense of fun in things! He makes me laugh, he’s very vocal. You can literally hold a conversation with him. It seems we’ve been together before, many times. I‘m working on a poem about him.“
