Team Neigh Savers participated for the fourth year in a row in 13th Annual Race for the Rescues on October 13, 2018 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. Despite the fact it decided to rain, the first time in months in Southern California, it did not dampen the enthusiasm of hundreds of people who turned up with their furry friends to race and raise money for animals in need. It was a wonderful day highlighted by the fact that all the shelter animals who were brought to the event for adoption found their “fur”ever homes by eight o’clock that same morning!!!

Many vendors attended with a variety of products for dogs, cats, bunnies and horses and the L.A. Laker girls were cheering on the runners! Our mascot, Blaze, even got to pose with them for a photo!! We were also treated to Hawaiian dancing!!

As a team of only four people, Neigh Savers was able to raise over $7,000 of our $10,000 goal which will go to our program of rehabbing, retraining and rehoming our beloved Off-Track Thoroughbreds!!!
