Update February 2026
Congratulations to Heather G & family on their adoption of Simon Valentine, our formerly feral Shetland pony mix.
Simon came to us after having wandered from his herd onto a road where he was injured by a car & caught.
Simon is approximately 5 years old & was an intact male when we got him.
He’s a very sweet, willing & personable guy & we are very happy & at the same time a bit teary eyed at his departure. However, in reality Simon was not a Sanctuary candidate so we did what was best for him.

The first resident of our 10 stall mare motel/barn has arrived!
His name is Simon Valentine. He’s a Shetland pony mutt mix from a feral herd that roams the Ukiah hills. Simon is approximately 4 years old & just slightly bigger than our mini Zeus & twice as big as our tiny mini Dolly.
