Simon is a paint gelding in his late teens. He is sound and may be a candidate for adoption. After some R&R at the Sanctuary Sarah will throw a saddle on him and assess.
Simon came in with his pasture pal Outlaw. Their owner lived in the community and recently passed away. There was no provision to care for the horses so we accepted them at the Sanctuary.
Update October 2024: Generally our Sanctuary horses remain with us for life. However, we received two quarter horses into the program (Simon & Outlaw) due to the death of the owner. Simon is sound with a pleasant personality so our friend in rescue Angie from nearby White Dog Ranch came over to assess him for her program. She took him on a trial and has decided to adopt Simon. It’s a great outcome for Simon and for us.
