Simply in Awe. (Peanut) was born on February 18, 2012. She is by Awesome Gambler out of Simply Run (Tejano Run). Peanut is currently 14 years old.
Peanut had seven starts in which she never hit the board or broke her maiden.
Her back hock was drained once when she first started training. When she was sent to start training, she ran out of her cement barn and broke off the tip of her right hip. She recovered and raced, but ended up bowing tendons in her front. She can be ridden and has shown a propensity for jumping.
Peanut is currently in rehab as she was shocked by the hot wire upon arrival and ended up crashing through a fence and jumping over blackberry bushes and just generally tearing herself up. In spite of all this, she is a lovely and smart girl and found her way back to the mare motel on her own. She holds a lot of promise for a second career.
