Description: Cutie is a gorgeous gray Marino Marini filly, 6 years old. She came to us sound but too slow for the track which makes her an excellent prospect. Cutie raced 11 times at Golden Gate Fields and Hollywood Park and never broke her maiden. She was really slow for a racehorse; her best finish was 5th, and she was usually 8th or 9th if not dead last. After adoption in April of 2013, Cutie was severely injured on her trailer ride to her new home. This was no fault of her own as she was hauled with a mare and foal. She suffered multiple abrasions and cuts and sustained an injury to the deep digital flexor tendon on her left hind leg. We accepted her back into the program to rehab and she has now been cleared by our vet to return to work with no restrictions. Cutie has a wonderful, kind soul, gets along well with other horses and people and does not have a mean bone in her body. She can now go on to eventing or another career that she finds fun and challenging. Cutie has been started under saddle and is still green, but has tons of potential. Update: May 2014- Cutie has been adopted by Holly H. and is now in eventing training.
