Description: We are proud to have this veteran in our family. This 2006 gelding began his career at Leopardstown in Ireland hitting the board for a 3rd place finish his first time out. He is a stakes placed horse finishing 3rd in the Del Mar Windy Sands Handicap. He has 48 starts under his belt with his last race at Golden Gate Fields. He is currently getting lots of love & TLC at Bear Creek Stables. After discovering that his name means “spirit” in a Native American Algonquin, we decided that is what we are going to keep calling him. We will keep you updated on his progress! May 2014 Update: Achak has been adopted by Neigh Savers’ volunteer, Brooke A. It was love at first sight and Brooke and Achak’s bond has only grown over time.
