Frog

Frog

I See France aka “Frog” is an 8 year old dark bay Thoroughbred, gelding ~ 15.3 hands. His dam was rescued from a pregnant mare pharmaceutical farm and he was born at a horse rescue that has since transferred hands.

In 2020 Frog was started on dressage and arena work. He is a bit of a clown. If he took a Disney character personality test he would be Mater from Cars. Frog will need an intermediate rider.

Unfortunately all training ceased in the summer of 2022 when Frog suffered a fall resulting in injuries to both knees. Although the injury was severe there was no joint damage. All medical records can be provided. Frog was transported to UC Davis Equine Hospital where he spent 3 weeks and then was at a lay-up facility in Woodland. In November Frog returned to his barn but was on stall rest and hand walking physical therapy until February 2023. He is currently out in a pasture and bored out of his mind! He needs to “work.” The ideal home for Frog is a rider that is interested in advancing their horsemanship. Frog is a spontaneous prankster, with a tendency to test the rider the moment their attention lapses, more out of a sense of fun than malice. He is no show pony, in addition to the knees, he also has a parrot mouth, although that has never slowed him down!

Frog’s adoption donation is currently set at $1000.
