Description:   Jules is described as very athletic and affectionate.  We were lucky in that Jules retired from the track sound.  This is a very sweet boy with lots of energy.  The barn manager has walked him calmly around the property and he likes to visit and socialize with other horses.  He already has some nice ground manners as he stood quietly and was not anxious or impatient while the barn manager visited with some humans she encountered.  Jules seems very peaceful and content away from the track and is enjoying his new life.  This guy has tons of potential.  It will be interesting to see what direction his new person will take him.  Don’t miss out on this really nice horse.  It doesn’t hurt that he’s attractive to boot, with lots of chrome.

If interested in adopting, the first step is to complete an Interested Adopter Form found on our website.

April 2015 Update: Volunteer Jenny W. reports that Jules is one lovely boy who enjoys his time on the trail. He is incredibly calm and enjoys walking, trotting, and cantering up hills, across streams, and through fields. He has a calm, almost therapeutic energy. He is very much ready to bond with a person. Jules is ready for a home with someone that will continue his schooling on the trails and in the arena. Eventually, he will certainly be calm enough for an advanced beginner, but for now, he is still learning the ropes.

December 2015 Update: We are excited to announce that Jules has been adopted by Andrea and her family. Jules will removing to the nearby Portola Valley. He is such a favorite with the volunteers and boarders at Bear Creek Stables. He has had multiple adoption offers. This is one special horse who has found himself the most amazing home. Many thanks to Jenny W. and all the other volunteers at Bear Creek for bringing this guy along and helping him find his forever family.
