Description:   Mr. Mandella is the type of trainer that will retire his good horses rather than drop them in the ranks. Although competing with top performers, Courage could not win against them so Mr. Mandella felt he was a good candidate for transitioning to another career, i.e. the show world. Courage was professionally retrained by Diane Grant-Schott at Schott in the Dark Farms as a jumper and is jumping at 2’3” rails. He is relaxed, has no vices and loves the show ring. Courage is easy to teach and likes being challenged to learn new things. This horse has a substantial adoption donation attached to him in line with his market value.

December 2015 Update: We are pleased to announce the Color of Courage has been adopted by Kimberly T. and now is in Santa Barbara being trained for eventing. Kimberly writes: “I decided to name him “Louie” as his barn name. Everyone already loves him. He is very brave! I ride him at night, all over the trails. He is so sweet! I have even put my boyfriend and his mother on him. (Neither had ridden before 🙂 He is such a trooper. I have a great feeling that once I can get him back into shape he will make the perfect eventing partner.”
