February 2016 Update: Upon evaluation by our veterinarian, it is clear that she has a chip and some arthritic changes in her knee. We had explored the option of doing surgery to remove the knee. As luck would have it, we spoke to a surgeon who had previously preformed knee surgery on her. The surgeon conferred with our veterinarian and it was decided to not do a second surgery and to repurpose Jackie O as a pleasure riding/trail horse. We are in the process of getting her back in shape and are looking for her forever person. Jackie O would greatly appreciate a sponsor. If interested, complete the form on the bottom of the page.

Update November 2016:  Just about a year ago right around Thanksgiving Attack the Jack (Jackie O) found herself to be a discarded broodmare with a violent foaling, resulting in a number of tears that need two surgeries to repair. We asked our core donors for donations to help us with the surgeries and collected enough for the first one. However, a former adopter several times over, Dr. Ixchel Mosley stepped in and offered to pay for the second operation and adopt Jackie as well. This elegant and beautiful soul just arrived at her new home near San Diego and has happily joined the menagerie there shown here with Ixchel’s horse loving and animal loving daughters.  She has quickly become a beloved family member with her laid back and gentle personality.
