Equine Assisted Therapy

Equine Empowerment Clinics

Now entering our tenth year of operations, Neigh Savers will be enhancing our services with equine empowerment clinics at our facility located at Bear Creek Stables in Los Gatos.  Participants will be working with the retired and rescued racehorses that have extensive training and a natural ability to connect with people.

The focus for Neigh Savers in 2017 is to retain horses with potential for Equine Assisted Therapy for this specific task. We are developing our therapy program in conjunction with a mental health therapist currently on site with us.   We offer clinics to many populations which include high school students, veterans, young adults and adults alike.  We are open to working with all types of schools, social agencies and private institutions to empower those in need and allow the horses to heal and teach us.

This is a significant change for us as previously all horses were adoptable. During this time we will significantly reduce our offerings of Available/Adoptable horses, including intake.

We are also offering equine communication classes to the general public for a small donation of $50 for a two-hour course with no more than three participants. If interested in participating in these courses please email karin@neighsavers.org for more information and availability.

We are looking for sponsorship and support for the horses retained by us as all of our offerings are at no cost to our potential clients other than our equine communication classes offered to the general public. Any level of support is appreciated, whether thru monthly deduction or a one-time donation. Please donate here if you are willing to help and let us know if you would like to be acknowledged on our website for supporting our Equine Assisted Therapy Programs.

Please welcome our therapy horses Carabella, Runner, Gabby, Rose and Griffin with more to come as the year progresses.
